Waist bag, fanny pack, belt bag, whatever you call it, that embarrassing accessory your parents wore in the 80’s is back and here to stay. Thanks to many leading designers and fashion It Girls, the belt bag is no longer just a practical, athletic accessory, but a stylish one.

During a late night Pinterest binge, I stumbled across a styled image for the summer bag of my dreams: the See by Chloé Polly belt bag. To be fair,  I lusted over the cool-girl trend, but felt a more feminine, bohemian design would be more well-suited for my summer style. And there IT was, exactly what I had been looking for - laid back, cool, and feminine. I then began an obsessive hunt online, in-store, and by luck, I found it at the newly opened Saks Fifth Avenue located within Chinook Mall.

I love the design as it contrasts the prominent boxy athleisure styles. The oversized tassels are a nod to sister design house, Chloé, and the adjustable strap transforms from waist bag to crossbody. For me, it is the perfect summer bag effortlessly paired with jeans, trousers or a summer dress! During the warmer months, I want to ditch the larger, structured totes and opt for a small, lightweight handbag. The Polly bag is mini but can carry all the essentials, phone, cards, and lipstick. I love the practicality and the opportunity to go hands-free!

Today I’m sharing an outfit that’s on repeat in my closet - denim, my current favourite off-the-shoulder top, and the See by Chloé Polly bag.
